An ancient evil has resurfaced as Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) and his parademons attempt to locate the three hidden Mother Boxes in an attempt to join them together and harness their combined energy to reshape earth. Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by the selfless act of Superman (Henry Cavill), Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), to bring together the other meta-humans Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa), Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) and  Victor Stone (Ray Fisher) fight against Steppenwolf and save the World from destruction.

A squad of villainous misfits is assembled by the leader of a secret government organisation, Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) to help defend the world against potential future meta-human threats. The team consists of Enchantress (Cara Delevingne) a 5,000 year old witch possessing the body of archaeologist June Moon. Crazy cool Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) the girlfriend of the clown prince of crime the Joker (Jared Leto). Assassin for hire Deadshot (Will Smith) who is trying to save his daughter. Beer swilling Australian Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) a no nonsense tough guy. The deformed Waylon Jones (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) who has become the monster Killer Croc that everyone thought he was. Fiery tempered Diablo (Jay Hernandez) whose past is tempering his usefulness to the team. Rounding out the group is Slipknot (Adam Beach). The squad is controlled by Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman) a special forces operative who Waller has maneuvered into her control and his right hand samurai Katana (Karen Fukuhara) who fights with a sword that captures the souls of it’s victims. When one of the team turns on them they must work together to save themselves.

Join us for our SDCC2016 Part 1 Gotham and DC Movies Podcast where we discuss all the Connected DC news that came from San Diego Comic Con 2016. We were not at the event but there was a huge presence from the cast of Gotham. Ben McKenzie, Morena Baccarin, Michael Chiklis, David Mazouz ,Chris Chalk, Cory Michael Smith, Camren Bicondova, Robin Lord Taylor, Erin Richards, Drew Powell, Jessica Lucas, Sean Pertwee, Danny Cannon, and John Stephens were all in attendance. This led to some big reveals about Gotham Season 3 that we’ll discuss on this week’s podcast.

There were lots of high profile trailers on show at San Diego Comic Con including the ones we’ll discuss on this Podcast.

First up is Wonder Woman (2017) starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Connie Nielsen and directed by Patty Jenkins. The movie is set during World War 1 where we will find out the story of why Wonder Woman left the sanctuary of her paradise island to join humanity. You can check out the trailer below

The next trailer released was our first look at Justice League (2017) starring Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa. After the events of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Batman enlists the help of other meta humans in his battle against an even greater evil.

The final trailer released was a remixed trailer for Suicide Squad starring Will Smith,  Margot Robbie, Jared Leto. We’ll be reviewing the full movie on our next Gotham TV Podcast.

As the city of Metropolis, as well as the wider world, begin to come to terms with the presence of Superman (Henry Cavill) a wider premise is raised that Gods (or meta-humans) may literally live among us here on Earth.
However not all humans embrace these off planet saviors. As both the Batman (Ben Affleck) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) begin to develop seemingly their own plans to confront Superman. With Batman suspicious of Superman’s motives and Lex driven in the belief that knowledge, and not brute force, should lead to power in this world. Meanwhile Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is attempting to protect her identity as the long-enduring Amazonian Wonder-Woman and discovers information into other meta-humans under investigation by Lex Luthor.
As both Lex and Batman put their plans into action it leads to a collision between Gotham’s Dark Knight and the self appointed protector of planet earth Superman. Their eventual clash sends Lex Luthor down a desperate path that can only end in tragedy for one of our heroes.
