Fox have announced the Gotham Season 2 Premiere Date for September 2015. Complete with the below image of Oswald Cobblepot as the King of Gotham. Viewers of the show in North America will be able to see the Gotham Season 2 Premiere in it’s regular Monday at 8PM slot on the 21st of September 2015.
Gotham will now be followed in the US by the new Sci-Fi tinged drama Minority Report staring Wilmer Valderrama (That 70s Show, From Dusk Til Dawn TV Show) which is set 10 years after the events of the 2002 movie Minority Report with Tom Cruise.
In other Gotham related news Harvey Dent (Nicholas D’Agosto) has been confirmed to return to the city as a series regular for Season 2. Also confirmed as series regular for Gotham is a new character, Theo Galavan, who will be played by James Frain (True Blood, The Tudors, True Detective, Agent Carter). The character is described in the Deadline announcement “a new Gotham arrival, Galavan is the savior the city has been waiting for — he is sexy, heroic, and lovingly devoted to his sister Tabitha (Jessica Lucas of Cloverfield). But behind Galavan’s altruism is a centuries-old vendetta. Galavan and Tabitha will take chaos and violence to a new level in order to bleed Gotham. Their plan will lead to the creation of new villains… and the destruction of others.”
We’re really looking forward to more of the excellent interplay between these characters when Gotham Season 2 Premieres on the 21st of September. No UK date has been announced as of yet although Channel 5 have confirmed that Season 2 will continue to be broadcast on their network in the UK.
